Premiere

At 6:43 PM on May 17, we finished burning the DVD of the rough cut for the test screening. We then had 17 minutes to walk over to the auditorium and premiere the film. It was a huge success - about 200 people showed up, and their reaction was extremely positive.
Kevin and I graduated on Sunday, and now we're taking a little time to relax. I've moved home to Belmont, MA, and Kevin is driving cross country to San Diego over the course of the next week. So things might be a little slow while I get settled at home. However, as soon as I can, I'll be cutting together a trailer, which you can expect to see posted. Other remaining work over the summer involves looking at all the feedback forms from the test screening, and using that feedback to improve the film. We must do some more work on the picture and sound (there are some errors), and lastly, we must finalize agreements about the music rights. We ended up using 16 tracks, from bands such as Jon Frederik Band, Throwback, The Whatnot, and Lansdowne, all of which greatly enhanced the movie - at the test screening, viewers specifically commented on how much they enjoyed the music. In addition to the film, we intend to produce a soundtrack.
The plan is to submit to Sundance in August. Keep your fingers crossed!
